Belly dance reaps many benefits, such as: improving posture, building core strength, improving digestive health, reducing stress, opening the hips, weight loss, boosting mood, improving memory and brain function, and increasing confidence!
It helped save Eliza from chronic migraines and muscle imbalances!
Where are classes located?
Classes are offered at Dance International, located in central Austin off Burnet and Steck.
What times are classes offered?

Private lessons can be scheduled as well.
How much are classes?
Classes are DONATION BASED ONLY. 100% of the donation goes into running the nonprofit studio. It's okay to show up for free classes. Suggested donations are as follows: $15 for a trial class $10 per class for regular students
How fast will I learn bellydance?
You never stop learning bellydance. There is so much to learn and improve on. The more classes you take, the faster you will improve. Private lessons are encouraged for faster learning. Depending on the person, it will take 5-10 group classes before you start feeling comfortable. It can take years before you're performance-ready.
Are hipscarves and shoes required?
Hipscarves and shoes are not required. Hipscarves will make it so that you can feel your movements better, so they are encouraged. Shoes will make dancing more comfortable for movements like pivoting. Leather bottomed ballet slippers are acceptable. Rubber soled shoes are too hard to pivot in, and socks are too slippery!
Am I too late to sign up?
No! Classes are ongoing and each class is tailored to the students who are there. Join us whenever!
When do classes start?
Classes are ongoing, so you can join whenever!
Can I take other classes at DI too?
Yes! Class cards are good for any classes at DI. Let's dance!
How did you get your name?
I have always gone by Eliza. The Moon part comes from my real last name, which is a word for the moon in my father's native language.
